Atlas of socio-territorial movements in Latin America and the Caribbean
This Atlas, co-published by CLACSO , the Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP, Brazil), and UNESCO , offers a rigorous, unprecedented, and committed cartographic analysis of collective action in our region. It systematizes the map of mobilizations recorded during April 2023 in twelve countries: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Paraguay, Puerto Rico, and Uruguay. Through a comprehensive set of maps and charts, the book reveals the location, intensity, and demands of agrarian and urban collective actions in relation to the Sustainable Development Goals. In addition to its analytical value, the publication provides an extensive catalog of empirical data organized in charts and tables.
In short, this Atlas makes a fundamental contribution to understanding the geography of resistance for land, housing, water and the set of rights that guarantee human dignity.
