Atlas of Climate Justice in Latin America and the Caribbean

Atlas of Climate Justice in Latin America and the Caribbean

The Atlas of Climate Justice in Latin America and the Caribbean has just been launched as an innovative and accessible tool to understand the ecological crisis and its disputes, in a strategic moment of preparation for COP 30 in Belém. The work shows how short-term “green” solutions reinforce inequalities and do not confront the deep causes of the climate emergency. With maps, graphs and lines of original time, the Atlas offers a critical diagnosis from diverse sources, evidence of responsáveis, denounces false technocratic solutions and exposes their consequences for communities, ecosystems and territories. At the same time, it examines the inherent conflicts in ecological transitions and highlights emerging alternatives. The future of the region – and the planet – passes through the debates and paths mapped here.
