ARTEDOC #2. Territories of art education
This Dossier entitled Education, Arts, Research: Crossroads and Articulations to Imagine Futures , which is part of the ARTEDOC magazine, was prepared jointly by the CLACSO Working Groups Arts, Education and Transversal Knowledge Production; Communication, Cultures and Politics and Arts and Politics.
The articles in this issue can be read as a mapping of the main tasks undertaken by the public university: teaching, research, and community engagement. They include reflections arising from academic work; progress and results of research processes in the specific field of arts education; and accounts of community action experiences mediated by the arts and education.
The aforementioned mapping also includes a federal and Latin American perspective, given that several collaborations come from institutions located in other parts of our country and in other countries of our region.
The dossier includes four articles that reflect on arts research as a political mode of world-building and establish some coordinates for imagining and planning more empathetic ways of inhabiting the present.
