The “International Situation Report. Contributions to Foreign Policy in the Context of the Global Crisis” delves into topics such as: External Debt – Capital Flight – Wealth Tax – Argentina and the BRICS.”
From the Observatory of International Affairs and Foreign Policy (OCIPEx), we set out to analyze the international situation in which Argentina finds itself, in order to contribute to foreign policy within the framework of the global crisis. This work contains two reports that seek to contribute to the understanding of how the pandemic may affect the global scenario—and therefore our country—as well as to participate in shaping the paths that Argentina can take on the international stage.
The pandemic and the financial crisis seem to be making it clear that states are not obsolete and have a crucial role to play in the lives of nations. The market is globalized, but it is incapable of providing global solutions for humanity. This situation demands a complete reconstruction of the domestic market and the productive fabric, as well as of global trade. Few countries in the world have the capacity to react quickly enough to drive the recovery after this crisis. For this reason, we must set aside ideologies and prioritize the enduring interests of our nation.
