Anti-imperialism: transnational perspectives in the global south
El CLACSO Working Group on Anti-imperialism: Transnational Perspectives in the Global South Its objective is to expand the research and exchange work that several researchers have been doing on anti-imperialism since 2013.
His study responds to the need to analyze the range of social actors who continue to redefine the cultural and identity corpus that has historically established anti-imperialism as a cohesive discourse, adding this time varied approaches and analyses, especially with a transnational view of conjunctural historical processes that marked the ideological development of the Global South – namely revolutions, social movements, integration bodies, political thought of some leaders, etc.
What influence has anti-imperialism had on shaping identities in countries of the Global South? From what perspectives has it been analyzed? These are some of the questions this research seeks to explore, analyzing the continuities, ruptures, and adaptations of the anti-imperialist imaginary as a central organizing principle of identities and legitimacy—whether opposing or not—from multiple perspectives. The Working Group aims to achieve an academic approach from these perspectives, which will broaden knowledge and guide interests along the ever-necessary path of knowledge that is only attained collectively and collaboratively, with the benefits of teaching and research.
