Anti-capitalisms and emerging sociability
El CLACSO Working Group on Anticapitalism and Emerging Sociabilities It aims to analyze the practices, repertoires of collective action and forms of social democratization of diverse emerging socialities in Latin America and the Caribbean – including workers', peasants', indigenous, feminist, environmental and student movements – in their antagonistic and/or contradictory relationship with capital and the State, as well as their impact on the configuration of public policies in a context marked by neoliberalism, conservatism and the dispute with progressive governments.
It also seeks to promote research on the recent transformations of capitalism – especially in its platform phase – its territorial, economic and political effects, and the processes of de-democratization and the advance of the extreme right, all in continuous dialogue with critical perspectives such as libertarian and feminist ones.
The GT also aims to promote debate, academic dissemination and political training through articulations with social movements, institutional networks and popular education spaces, prioritizing participatory methodologies and the exchange of knowledge.
It also proposes to strengthen collaborative links with social organizations, networks of popular and solidarity economies, artistic collectives and autonomous spaces of knowledge production, as well as with academic institutions at the regional and global level, in order to contribute to the understanding and strengthening of anti-capitalist struggles and emancipatory alternatives on multiple scales.
