“Latin America and the Caribbean is a region that is building sovereignty”
During his visit to Colombia for the Mercosur-European Union Summit, the Executive Director of CLACSO, Pablo VommaroHe was interviewed on November 10th on the program “Emisión Central” on the official RTVC Noticias channel. Among other points, he stated that “the path forward is international cooperation based on principles of cooperation; the path forward is to defend consensus and acknowledge the crises we are experiencing.”
Furthermore, he analyzed: "I believe that putting the EU-Mercosur treaty back on the table in such a conflictive European Union is a very strategic, very sensitive, very subtle action, in the sense that in this new situation, discussing this treaty can place Latin America and the South in a strategic position."
