Environment, public goods and climate change
As part of the 9th Latin American and Caribbean Conference of Social Sciences, on Wednesday, June 8, in the Main Tent located on the UNAM campus, the keynote dialogue “ Environment, Public Goods, and Climate Change ” took place. The panelists were Vandana Shiva , physicist, philosopher, and writer from India; Arturo Escobar , from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill; Enrique Leff , from the National Autonomous University of Mexico; and Ofelia Ángulo Guerrero , Undersecretary of Science, Technology, and Innovation for the Mexico City government. The event was introduced by Alain Basail Rodríguez , from the Center for Mexican and Central American Studies at the University of Sciences and Arts of Chiapas, a member of the CLACSO Board of Directors.
