 Ceasefire in Gaza

El CLACSO Working Group on Social Metabolism/Environmental Justice It expresses itself in favor of life, respect for others, non-violence, peaceful coexistence, ecumenism and interreligious dialogue.

Consequently, we express our profound rejection of fighting kidnapping and death with death and kidnapping, the use of famine as a tool of military action, and the partisan political exploitation of the excuse of terror. We condemn the destruction of life and property, and the seizure of land to exterminate a people from their territory. The apartheid regime, which has lasted for decades, has reached new levels of brutality in recent months, continuing to defy international law.

Finally, we denounce the cowardice of murdering civilians who come to collect humanitarian aid.

The Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), Philippe Lazzarini, stated in his report on the situation in Gaza that of the more than 30 Palestinians killed by Israel, almost half are children. The intervention forces in the Palestinian territory are using various strategies to carry out the genocide that the International Court of Justice has ordered them to stop: conquering territory, blocking humanitarian aid (medicine and food), and attacking civilian infrastructure. The famine caused by this war has already claimed its first victims through starvation, as reported by Jamie McGoldrick, UN Humanitarian Coordinator.

With hope in Human Rights we support the order of the International Court of Justice to Israel to take all measures within its power to prevent the commission of acts of genocide, allow humanitarian assistance, prevent the destruction of evidence and report to the Court on it.

All lives are painful to us, but the lives of children and the most vulnerable are unbearable.
