Alliance for a green education

On February 11 and 12, the NGO-UNESCO Liaison Committee, in close collaboration with UNESCO, invites you to the virtual forum “Alliance for a green education: NGOs mobilized for a sustainable impact”.
CLACSO , which is part of the board of directors of UNESCO's committee on relations with NGOs, supports this initiative, a privileged space for dialogue, collective learning and the strengthening of the technical skills of NGOs.
Over two sessions, the four fundamental pillars of the Green Education Partnership (GEP) will be explored:
• Pillar 1: Green schools: global approaches to centers and quality standards for green schools.
• Pillar 2: Green all curricula: integrating climate change into national curricula.
• Pillar 3: Adapting teacher training and education system capacities to climate change: strengthening the capacities of educators and systems.
• Pillar 4: Green Communities: Promoting lifelong learning for greater climate resilience.
As the Green Education Partnership (GEP) continues to expand—currently comprising 97 countries and over 1.900 stakeholders—the role of civil society in ensuring coherence between global policies and local actions has never been more essential. Hence the importance of participating to:
• Exchange good practices: share and discover innovative initiatives carried out by NGOs in the field of education for sustainable development.
• Develop skills: explore the ethical use of AI-powered digital tools, as well as the development of technical and problem-solving skills for concrete sustainable solutions.
• Collaborate: exchange with other NGOs, academic communities and youth representatives to promote a synergistic implementation of the GEP objectives.
