2016 from the CLACSO Working Group on Afro-descendants and counter-hegemonic proposals He is a pioneer in the production of studies on the agenda of anti-racist movements

and in the dissemination of knowledge in the field of African studies.

It is made up of researchers, Afro-descendant activists, and public policy promoters. Its objective is to articulate emancipatory actions between academia and organizational dynamics of Afro-descendants and Africans, based on the insurgent positioning of historically marginalized populations.

Also, to promote the program “Beyond the International Decade for People of African Descent” (2017; 2018; 2019), which has generated powerful initiatives to promote sustained political action in the context of the Decade.

The objectives include:

• To collectively build knowledge from a decolonial, anti-racist and intersectional perspective in the field of Afro-descendant studies.
• To contribute to the theoretical, methodological and political training of researchers, activists and public policy leaders in the field of Afro-descendant studies.
• To promote black feminisms as a field of study, political action, place of enunciation and militant social articulation.
• To make visible the political thought and action of Afro-descendants and Africans.
• To create a permanent and growing space for collaboration with academic networks and institutions and the Afro-descendant movement.
