CLACSO Digital Repository Update

 CLACSO Digital Repository Update

The CLACSO Digital Repository is updated to DSpace 10.0, incorporating new functionalities, greater multilingual accessibility and capabilities for the management of research data.

CLACSO has taken another step in strengthening its open access infrastructure by updating its Digital Repository to DSpace 10.0, a strategic improvement that optimizes the user experience, expands the international reach of its content, and reinforces its commitment to open science practices. The new version offers more intuitive navigation, faster response times, and improved display of collections and content.

Among the new features are the advanced search filters, which allow users to locate materials by author, subject, date, title, content type, language or collection, facilitating access to knowledge for researchers, students and the general public.

One of the most significant advances is the expansion of internationalization capabilities. The platform allows the entire interface and metadata to be translated into six languages, including Chinese, thus promoting greater global visibility for the academic output disseminated by CLACSO.

The update also incorporates the dataset entity, a key tool for managing, preserving, making visible, and reusing research data. This innovation aligns the repository with international best practices in open science and positions CLACSO among the pioneering institutions in Latin America and the Caribbean in promoting open ecosystems for scientific research.

With this update, CLACSO reaffirms its commitment to the democratization of knowledge and open access, strengthening a strategic platform for the dissemination of the region's academic output.
