Activism, collective memory, appropriation of identities

We are a group made up of activists and researchers from different countries of the Southern Cone and Central America who are starting a line of work at CLACSO linked to the struggles for collective memory and specifically the issue of appropriation of identities within the framework of repressive and authoritarian processes that the different peoples went through.

We collaboratively develop knowledge production with human rights organizations, building on decades of shared goals. We incorporate the development of digital humanities to enhance our strategies for engagement and knowledge production with a regional perspective.

We are committed to building a strong network in the defense of human rights and generating specific and situated knowledge on the issue of identity appropriation in children, while also incorporating the impact of these crimes on different generations.
