Within the framework of the activities of the CLACSO Working Group “Imperialism, neocolonialism and intervention policies” (GT INPI) , the webinar “Lawfare, legal warfare and the right wing against the Global South” will be held , organized together with the Lawfare Observatory.

The meeting aims to address the phenomenon of lawfare and its relationship to the dynamics of intervention, destabilization, and persecution of political leaders and projects in Latin America and the Global South. The event seeks to provide critical tools for analyzing this phenomenon and its media and judicial dimensions.

Participants:

• Silvina Romano, coordinator of the Lawfare Observatory, PhD in Political Science from the National University of Córdoba and member of the CLACSO Working Group “Geopolitics, Regional Integration and World System”.
• Georgette Kuri, co-coordinator of the CLACSO GT “Imperialism, neocolonialism and intervention policies”, PhD in Latin American Studies from UNAM and collaborator of the Lawfare Observatory.
• Marco TeruggiJournalist and analyst on La Base América Latina on Canal Red and on the Macondo program on Caras y Caretas TV. Sociologist from the National University of La Plata.
