This third session of the seminar invites participants to analyze how social order is constructed in territories where the state's presence is weak or partial. The first section will address neighborhood dynamics in Greater Buenos Aires surrounding drug micro-trafficking, emerging forms of violence, and residents' perceptions. The second part will offer a conceptual analysis of vigilantism, differentiating it from criminal governance through its claims to justice, the deployment of lethal and non-lethal violence, and the pursuit of community legitimacy.
