First Conference of the 2026 Cycle “Governing Mobility in the Digital Age” – MiPRes (IIGG)
The Migration, Politics and Resistance Studies Group (MiPRes) invites you to the First Conference of the VI Cycle of Virtual Conferences of MiPRes – 2026.
On this occasion, we will have the presentation by Dr. Soledad Álvarez Velasco (University of Illinois at Chicago), entitled "Resisting in movement: migrant struggles against eliminationist policies and fascist borders."
The meeting will take place on Thursday, September 24, 2026 at the following time:

This series is conceived as a space for critical analysis of contemporary dynamics of control, exclusion, and the production of subjectivities in contexts of human mobility. From a transnational and interdisciplinary perspective, we will address the criminalization of mobility, the securitization of borders, the digitalization of state control, and practices of resistance.
