The book “A Calm Sea? Continuities, Transformations, and Challenges of Young Feminist Activism in Latin America,” coordinated by Marina Larrondo and Camila Ponce, will be presented. It brings together research and academic reflections—both conceptual and based on activist experiences—that address six main themes: youth feminist mobilizations; legislation and public policy; awareness and education on gender violence; intersection with LGBTQ+ cultures; the sociopolitical impact of youth feminisms; and intersectionality and decoloniality. Through these themes, the book seeks to offer a multidimensional analysis of youth feminist activism in Latin America. The book presentation will invite participants to ask questions and share comments, and it is hoped that this will open new dialogues within the Working Group.
