The purpose of the activity Crime prevention plans and programs in Latin America: shared lessons and challenges It is to address the policies of crime and violence prevention in Latin America, based on case studies of four countries (Chile, Argentina, Uruguay and Colombia), organized around the same analytical framework: what programs were implemented, under what theoretical model (social, situational, police or hybrid), how their implementation was coordinated between levels of government and with local organizations, what weight the financing and design of international organizations had, and what evidence there is on their results and impacts.
