Second Earth Congress: "The Earth in Times of Ecological Collapse"

The Group for Studies on Structuralism and Poststructuralism of the Gino Germani Research Institute (University of Buenos Aires) is organizing the II Earth Congress: "The Earth in times of ecological collapse" , a space for interdisciplinary meeting and exchange to reflect on the environmental, political, social, cultural and epistemological challenges posed by the current ecological crisis.
Over four days, conferences, panels, and more than fifty thematic roundtables will be held, organized around eight areas of debate, including: environmental thought and philosophy; representations and imaginaries of nature; biodiversity, territories, and sovereignties; environmental conflicts and socio-environmental justice; ecofeminisms and social movements; extractivism and socio-productive transformation; science, technology, and artificial intelligence; and new urbanisms and ruralisms.
The congress will feature researchers from Latin America and other regions, and will combine in-person and virtual activities to foster academic exchange and the building of collaborative networks. Among the scheduled panels is Panel 25: “Migrations, Just Transitions, and Care for Our Common Home: Socio-environmental Challenges in Latin America and the Caribbean ,” coordinated by members of the CLACSO Working Group on Just Transitions and Care for Our Common Home.
