El Hamburg Institute for Advanced Study (HIAS) opens the call for applications individual scholarships for the 2027–2028 academic year, aimed at researchers from all disciplines and backgrounds (from postdoctoral level), as well as artists and cultural professionals, from anywhere in the world.

HIAS offers 12 scholarships for stays of 3 to 10 months in Hamburg, with full freedom to develop their own projects in an interdisciplinary and international environment of excellence, which promotes academic and artistic exchange and dialogue with broad audiences.

📌 Main requirements:
– Doctorate/PhD (for applicants from the academic field)
– Excellent command of English
– International career path and original research proposal
