The meeting proposes to reflect critically on the scope of the Monroe Doctrine and its impacts on the political, economic and social processes of Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as to highlight the resistances and alternatives built by the peoples in the face of these dynamics.

The event will bring together specialists, academics and social actors in the city of San Cristóbal de Las Casas, promoting the exchange of perspectives and the construction of critical agendas around sovereignty, self-determination and regional integration.
