The South-South Intellectual Network (RISUR) and various allied institutions are convening this international meeting, conceived not as a traditional academic conference about the South, but as an interactive meeting point for academics original of the Global SouthThe main objective is to consolidate ties of trust, facilitate the circulation of knowledge, and foster joint projects and initiatives..

📋 Shipping Requirements and Conditions

To apply as an exhibitor, the following presentation guidelines must be strictly followed:

  • Contents of the proposalThe title of the work and an abstract written in [language] must be attached. of the of the official languages ​​of the meeting (English, Spanish, French, Portuguese or Arabic) and a biographical note with a maximum length of 8 lines.
  • Limit on authorshipEach person may only be listed on one proposal. Works with more than two co-authors will not be accepted. In the case of dual authorship, both co-authors must attend the event.
  • Assistance modalityWhen submitting your application, you must explicitly specify whether your participation will be in person or virtual. Acceptance for in-person participation does not guarantee an automatic change to virtual participation (which must be expressly requested in case of unforeseen circumstances).
  • Geographic restrictionPriority will be given to participants from the Global South. Additionally, participation by individuals residing in Brazil will be exclusively in person, with no exceptions.
  • Costs and RegistrationParticipation in the event is completely free (There is no registration fee). However, the organizing committee will not cover travel, accommodation, or food expenses, nor will it cover visa processing fees.
  • Certification: A certificate of participation will only be awarded to those who attend a minimum of two-thirds (2/3) of the sessions of the meeting.

  2. The epistemological debate: What is the Global South?
  3. Otherness, narratives and resistance.
  4. Contributions from the Global South to global coexistence and harmony.
  5. Thoughts and ideas produced from the South.
  6. South-South exchanges of knowledge and experiences.
  7. Feminist and gender perspectives in countries of the South.
  8. Common challenges, difficulties and obstacles of the countries of the South.
  9. South-South Cooperation.
  10. The voices of nature understood as part of the South.
