From the formulation of the Monroe-Adams Doctrine to the present day, US interventionism in the region has gone through several stages, defined in each case by specific circumstances, objectives, actors and narratives; in this webinar we propose to analyze its continuities, but also its mutations over time.

We will start from the articles in the book “The Monroe Doctrine, the Trump Corollary and the consequences for Latin America and Panama” compiled by Olmedo Beluche and Abdiel Rodríguez Reyes and from the research perspectives proposed by the CLACSO Working Group Imperialism, neocolonialism and intervention policies.
