Call for Papers
VII International Colloquium on Theology 2026: "What remains of our language? Spiritual perspectives on a world in crisis"

🗓️ November 17-20, 2026
🖥️ Online format

The Institute of Religious Sciences and Philosophy of the Catholic University of the North and the Faculty of Theology of the Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaíso invite academics, researchers and postgraduate students to submit proposals for papers to participate in the VII International Colloquium of Theology 2026, which will be entitled "What remains of our language? Spiritual perspectives on a world in crisis."

The colloquium seeks to open a space for academic and interdisciplinary reflection on the spiritual crisis of language: its capacity to name the real, account for pain, summon the other, open the future and sustain the human experience in the midst of a world traversed by noise, silence, current cries, horror and the need for compassion.

The call for papers seeks proposals that address, from theological and interdisciplinary perspectives, the relationship between language, silence, violence, creation, memory, compassion, and hope. Submissions will be accepted from the fields of theology, philosophy of language, literature, psychoanalysis, ethics, aesthetics, social sciences, and other related areas.
