The world of work is undergoing profound transformations. Digitalization, platforms, and artificial intelligence coexist with long-standing phenomena such as informality, outsourcing, inequalities, and the heterogeneity of forms of labor market integration.

These transformations challenge not only the ways of producing and working, but also the institutions historically built around employment: labor rights, social protection, regulation, and forms of collective representation and organization.

The panel proposes a dialogue between union, political-institutional, and academic perspectives to reflect on these changes and discuss the responses we need to develop in the face of an increasingly heterogeneous world of work. The goal is to move from diagnosis to a political question: what new agenda of rights, protection, and collective organization does contemporary work require?

They expose:
Juan Ottaviano (IDAES-UNSAM, Argentina)
Marcelo Di Stefano (Secretary of Institutional Strengthening, Trade Union Confederation of Workers of the Americas, CSA, Guatemala)
Jannette Jara (University of Santiago, Chile)
Marga Ferré (Transform! Europe, Spain)

Moderated by:
Adoración Guamán (University of Valencia, Spain, co-coordinator of the CLACSO Working Group What work for what future?)
Nora Goren (National University of José C. Paz, Argentina, co-coordinator of the CLACSO Working Group "What work for what future?")
