The Permanent Interinstitutional Seminar “Youth and Student Movements: Past, Present and Future” invites you to participate in the discussion “20 years after the Penguin Revolution in Chile and presentation of the CLACSO Working Group on Student Movements and Activisms”.
The activity proposes to reflect on the experiences of student organization and mobilization in Chile two decades after the so-called "Penguin Revolution", recovering its contributions, impacts and projections in contemporary youth movements in Latin America and the Caribbean.
The meeting will also be a space to present the CLACSO Working Group on Student Movements and Activism, which focuses on academic and political exchange regarding youth, activism, and student organizing processes in the region.
They will participate Oscar Aguilera Ruiz y Leonora Reyes Jedlicki, from the University of Chile, and Yanny Santa Cruz, from the University of Santiago, Chile. The moderation will be handled by Gorka Villar Vásquez (Cornell University).
