The Faculty of Humanities and Arts of the National University of Rosario invites you to participate in the international panel “The responsibility of philosophy in times of genocide”, which will feature presentations by the distinguished researchers and philosophers Dr. Silvana Rabinovich (National Autonomous University of Mexico – UNAM), Dr. Rodrigo Karmy Bolton (University of Chile – UCH) and Dr. Federico Donner (National University of Rosario – UNR).
This event offers a space for debate and critical reflection on the role, commitment, and ethical responsibility of philosophical thought in the face of contemporary contexts of extreme violence and genocide. Drawing on diverse critical perspectives from the Global South, the panelists will address the political, discursive, and human implications of philosophical inquiry in the face of the urgent challenges of the current international landscape.
The panel is part of the academic activities jointly promoted by the School of Philosophy of the Faculty of Humanities and Arts (UNR), the Free Chair “Said-Fanon. Approaches to the societies of the global south” (SaFaSur) and the PAPIIT IN 403425 project “Heteronomies of justice: translating to decolonize”, with the participation of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM).
