Kathya Araujo holds a PhD in American Studies. She is a Full Professor at the Institute for Advanced Studies (IDEA) of the University of Santiago, Chile, and Director of the Millennium Institute for Authority and Social Regulation. For nearly two decades, she has dedicated herself to researching the effects of structural transformations on individuals and social bonds in Chilean society. In addition to a significant number of articles, she has published more than twenty books.
