Acapacá
The Special Group Permanent Latin American Forum for the Decolonization of Cooperation arises from a strategic alliance between CLACSO y ACAPACAA platform for dissemination, learning, and support for cooperation (Spain), established as a space for reflection and action that seeks to transform traditional cooperation practices by incorporating decolonial and feminist perspectives. It represents a commitment to equitable, just, and necessary cooperation. Designed to be a vehicle for long-term change, it aims to address and challenge the dynamics of power and inequality that characterize cooperation.
Present in the X Latin American and Caribbean Conference of Social Sciences In Bogotá, Colombia, in June 2025, among other spaces, Acápacá participated in the “Permanent Latin American Forum for the Decolonization of Cooperation” organized jointly with INESC, Latindadd, the Abya Yala Indigenous Coordinator and CLOC Via Campesina.
In various posts, Sofia Sprechmann Sineiro, Coordinator of the Permanent Latin American Forum, shares how they are organizing from the South: an alliance between civil society organizations, NGOs, feminist, indigenous, environmental, workers', peasant, academic movements and donors. “All united by a common concern: the crisis of the international cooperation system and the global reduction in funding for cooperation. It is time to think about new forms of solidarity and equitable collaboration from our territories!” sustains.

It also analyzes, among other aspects, solidarity cooperation based on justice, co-responsibility, collaboration, mutuality and mutual respect. “We link solidarity-based cooperation with the principles that guide us in building new paradigms of cooperation from the Global South. We are coordinating through the Permanent Forum to advance this collective work and activate spaces for debate and reflection on the kind of cooperation we desire.” proposes Sofía Sprechmann Sineiro.

About Acápacá
They define themselves as a platform at the service of Latin American social movements to accelerate and achieve changes in international cooperation, based on principles of decoloniality, feminism, anti-racism, participation and inclusion. “Our mission is simple yet bold: to build a new, more equitable, decolonial, and feminist cooperation ecosystem, where leadership from the Global South drives systemic change. El Permanent Latin American Forum for the Decolonization of Cooperation It is made up of the organizations of the Initiative Group of the Permanent Forum for the Decolonization of Cooperation (INESC, FENMUCARINAP, ACÁPACÁ, CLACSO, CDM, FLACSO, CUC, CODEMUH, CLOC-Vía Campesina, Coordinadora Indígena del Abya Yala, La Corriente, Latindadd) under the coordination of Lourdes Huanca, President of FENMUCARINAP, and Asier Hernando Malax-Echevarria, Director of ACÁPACÁ.
