Legal abortion in Argentina, one year later
On December 30, 2020, the Argentine Senate approved the law that had already received half approval from the Chamber of Deputies, legalizing the Voluntary Interruption of Pregnancy in the first 14 weeks of gestation.
After being rejected by parliament two years earlier, the measure passed with 38 votes in favor, 29 against and one abstention.
