"To my city" – Dominican Republic

The Housing and Habitat Commission of the Citizen Forum, a non-partisan and independent, non-profit space for articulation that integrates the various sectors of civil society and social movements of the Dominican Republic, launched the music video “ at the end of last JulyTo my city".

The communicator Patricia Solano “To My City” was presented as an audiovisual artwork reflecting decades of indifference from a self-centered ruling class. It is a visual expression of a silenced and hidden reality, even though the vast majority suffer from it. This song conveys a just, legitimate, forceful, and above all, urgent cry in our neighborhoods regarding the lack of democracy they have experienced all this time.

Those participating in the launch of “A mi ciudad” included: sociologist Juan Miguel Pérez, Patricia Gómez, coordinator of the Social Production of Habitat area of ​​@ciudadalt, and Reynaldo Brioso, author and performer of the song.
