Time and politics

The book “ Time and Politics – Narratives of Mexico’s 2018 ” delves into the critical horizon of post-development and convivialism in Latin America and the Caribbean. Through an interdisciplinary dialogue, the authors examine the limitations of the developmentalist paradigm and capitalist industrialism, proposing alternatives that transcend the utilitarian principle of capital reproduction.

This volume synthesizes three fundamental themes: critiques of traditional development policies, diverse interpretations of post-development from the Global South, and the search for new forms of cooperation based on regional solidarity. With contributions from leading figures in Latin American sociology, this book not only addresses the future of our societies but also offers tools to confront current systemic crises and strengthen a sensibility for social, political, and cultural liberation.
