Your spirit will always be present, dear colleague, in the memory of those of us who were your students, but also in the pages about various contributions of Marx and Heidegger, among others, as well as Ecuadorian writers of the stature of José Joaquin de Olmedo, Agustín Cueva and Bolívar Echeverría.

You championed critique as a key analytical framework for understanding contexts dominated by the hegemony of the capitalist system. In poetic terms, you wove diverse verses, never losing sight of our structural and everyday reality.
