This thematic panel aims to create a space for academic dialogue to explore the relationship between technology, communication, and LGBTIQA+ people in the region. Therefore, the discussion will focus on recognizing the opportunities, challenges, and tensions that traditional media and Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) have historically and currently play in shaping the agenda, perceptions, and representations of sexual and gender dissidence in the region.
