Days away from the start of our X Conference #CLACSO2025

We are a few days away from the start of our X Latin American and Caribbean Conference of Social Sciences #CLACSO2025, with a lot of work and many activities to develop between June 9 and 12 around the critical issues and main problems that the region is currently facing.

We will be developing different themes in the Master Dialogues along with a very impressive succession of 40 Forums that have been organized between the CLACSO Network, the allied organizations and institutions, without forgetting the second great Latin American and Caribbean Book Fair that will be from the first day of the Conference at the facilities of the Agora Bogotá.

We will also have a space for Social Science Training and its various disciplines that will be operating during the #CLACSO2025 Conference. There will also be a significant number of panels and thematic tables to accommodate the more than 4.000 scientific papers submitted, and we expect an attendance of 15.000 people.

For our #CLACSO2025 Conference we will be working in the three venues: the National University of Colombia, Bogotá campus, the Higher School of Public Administration (ESAP) and the Agora-Bogotá.

The entire CLACSO team, the Executive Secretariat and the Steering Committee are working very hard to ensure that the activities of the X Latin American and Caribbean Conference of Social Sciences #CLACSO2025 are ready, organized and published on our website (https://www.clacso.org/).

In addition, prior to the X Conference, the triennial Assembly is held, where the work done in recent years since the 2022 Assembly in Mexico City is discussed, as well as the work plan for the next 3 years from 2025-2028.

In turn, I will have the honor and privilege of presenting all the activities of my second term at the Bogotá Assembly, and also of saying goodbye to the CLACSO Member Centers, since a few days after the #CLACSO2025 Conference my term as Executive Director will be ending.

– There's a news story that's been circulating in the last few hours regarding Radio Televisión Nacional de Colombia (RTVC) as the official channel for #CLACSO2025. Is that correct, Karina?

Yes, of course. It is a privilege for us to announce that Colombian public media will indeed be the official channel for our #CLACSO2025 Conference, broadcasting from Latin America and the Caribbean. It is truly a joy and a privilege to work in this partnership with RTVC, and I also thank its director, Hollman Morris, for all the support he is providing to make the #CLACSO2025 broadcast possible. Furthermore, at the end of our Assembly and before the start of our 10th Conference, a Music Festival for Hope will be held in the iconic Plaza Bolívar, in the heart of Bogotá, Colombia.
