“Cuba continues on its firm path”

As part of CLACSO's participation in the Forum "Cuba in Revolution: 60 years of transformations", on October 21 in Havana, CLACSO TV interviewed Gerardo Hernández, one of the five Cuban Heroes who spent up to 16 years in US prisons.

Currently Vice-Rector of the Higher Institute of International Relations (ISRI), Hernández reviewed current issues in Latin America and the Caribbean, particularly his country's relationship with the United States. He concluded: “It’s curious: imperialism is tightening the screws of the blockade against Cuba more and more, hoping for a social explosion, an uprising, and it happens in other places where it doesn’t want it to happen. And Cuba continues on its firm path.”
