Biographical crossroads or bifurcations?
This book, a co-publication of CLACSO and the I+D+i Agency/CONICET, is the product of a collaborative research project carried out within the framework of the PISAC-CODESOC call for proposals. The project aimed to identify the changes that the COVID-19 cycle (2020-2022) brought to the social structure of productive and reproductive labor in Argentina. Its pages analyze the processes of social mobility and the social protection and employment policies implemented in response to the crisis, with the objective of understanding whether these policies were able to contain, mitigate, or reverse the predictable configuration of regressive patterns of socioeconomic inequality in Argentina. Each of its seventeen chapters incorporates a set of programmatic proposals, which aim to contribute ideas capable of strengthening economic, labor, and social policy strategies geared towards promoting balanced and sustainable development with social inclusion.
