March 8: Commitment of the State to the African Diaspora

On this March 8, 2021, as humanity celebrates International Women's Day, the State of the African Diaspora pays tribute to all women of the world, especially African and Afro-descendant women, in their contexts of resistance and (re)existence.

Despite the efforts of the International Community and the national and global mechanisms created for the advancement of women, today we continue to be the main victims of systemic structural racism, poverty, educational gaps, the drama of Black migrants and violence.

The Declaration is signed on behalf of the State of the African Diaspora by: Dr. Rosa Campoalegre Septien, Minister of Gender Equality and Dr. Louis-Georges Tin, Prime Minister.
