60 years of the Cuban Revolution at CLACSO
To commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Cuban Revolution (1959 – January 1, 2019), the Latin American Council of Social Sciences has the honor of receiving at its headquarters Juan Valdés Paz, representative of the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC) and the National Association of Historians of Cuba (ANHIC), who will offer a lecture entitled "Cuba Today: Current Situation and Perspectives on the 60th Anniversary of the Revolution."
The invitation is the Tuesday, April 16 at 18:00 p.m. Street United States 1168, City of Buenos Aires.
Organized by: CLACSO Working Group “Poverty and social policies” and National University of Quilmes.
Accompanying Juan Valdés Paz's presentation will be the Rector of the National University of Quilmes (Argentina), Alejandro Villar, as moderator, accompanied by Gerónimo de Sierra, from the University of the Republic (Uruguay) and Carlos Vilas, from the National University of Lanús and the Journal Perspectives of Public Policies (Argentina).
Carlos Fidel, from the Department of Social Sciences at the National University of Quilmes, highlighted the importance of Juan Valdés Paz's presence in Buenos Aires, anticipating that "he will offer an interesting reflection on the current situation in Cuba and its prospects for transformation and the horizon that is opening up as a result of the institutional and economic changes taking place on the island."
