105th Meeting of the CLACSO Steering Committee

On November 10 and 11, the 105th Meeting of the Steering Committee of the Latin American Council of Social Sciences was held at the headquarters of the Executive Secretariat of CLACSO, in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The first activity of the day was an informal meeting between the members of the CD and the SE with CLACSO workers, which, with the necessary precautions dictated by the pandemic, represented the first face-to-face meeting at that level in more than a year and a half.
The welcoming remarks were delivered by the Executive Secretary, Karina Batthyány, accompanied by Julián Rebón (Argentina and Uruguay Region), Bernardo Mançano Fernandes and Mônica Dias Martins (Brazil Region), Roberto Oswaldo López (Central America Region), Isabel Piper (Chile and Peru Region), and Stalin Gonzalo Herrera (Colombia, Ecuador, and Venezuela Region). Also present were the Directors of the Executive Secretariat team: Laura Gastón, Pablo Vommaro, Nicolás Arata, Gustavo Lema, and Fernanda Pampín.
Participants virtually include: Mauricio Tubio (Argentina and Uruguay Region), Clyde Soto and Pilar Lizarraga (Bolivia and Paraguay Region), Manuel Rivera (Central America Region), Jenny Torres and María Isabel Domínguez (Caribbean Region), Augusto Castro Carpio (Chile and Peru Region), Carolina Jiménez (Colombia, Ecuador and Venezuela Region), Darío Salinas and Alain Basail Rodríguez (Mexico Region).
For two days, the members of the Steering Committee and the Executive Secretariat will analyze and resolve issues related to the progress of CLACSO, with a view to the present, but also to the Assemblies and to the 9th Latin American and Caribbean Conference of Social Sciences in June 2022 in Mexico City.
