South-South Program
Building bridges of exchange in the South, between Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East.
Inter-regional academic platform for the exchange and discussion of contemporary social problems of common interest in Africa, Latin America, Asia and the Middle East. It is proposed to deepen South-South academic cooperation and consolidate a network made up of a new generation of researchers from the Global South from a critical and comparative perspective.
Lines of action
- Organization of schools, workshops, scholarships, as well as relevant international seminars, forums and conferences for South-South academic cooperation
- Creation of the South-South University, a tri-year project that is emerging as a platform for exchange and academic training with the perspective of the Global South.
- Production of relevant academic knowledge for public policies.
- Deepen cooperation and exchange links with the Council for the Development of Social Science Research in Africa (CODESRIA), the Arab Council for Social Sciences (ACSS), the International Development Economics Associates (IDEAs) network, the UNESCO MOST Program , the Future Earth Research Platform (ICSS), among many other institutions.
