Work groups

Building interdisciplinary networks of researchers with relevance, quality and incidence in Latin America and the Caribbean

The Working Groups (GT) are interdisciplinary networks of researchers from different countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, who meet around a relevant social issue or problem for the region. The GT work for the production of relevant and rigorous comparative knowledge, and seek to achieve an effective relationship between researchers, public policy makers and social organizations.

They are organized based on public competitions in which proposals for the formation of a GT and a work plan are presented. These proposals are then evaluated by international juries.

Main lines of action

■ Work meetings in order to open the exchange and favor the development of research and analysis in comparative perspective and with incidence.
■ Public events for dialogue and debate on issues relevant to the region within the framework of the global agenda.
■ Meetings for exchange and analysis with decision-makers of public policy and / or with representatives of social organizations.
■ Publications with the results of the research carried out in various formats.
