Religions and public spaces in Latin America
Latin America, like many other regions of the planet, is experiencing a recomposition of the relationships between the sphere of religion and the public sphere, the boundaries and relationships between these spaces, and the entities involved in these relationships (the State, the public sphere, and the religious sphere).
This volume offers a Latin American panorama and an undoubtedly plural perspective: it addresses studies on Catholicism and Protestantism as well as Pentecostal and Neo-Pentecostal churches and shows, at the same time, other less visible but no less relevant activisms, such as those related to alternative or holistic spiritualities or worldviews with indigenous or native roots.
We are adding a new book to the CLACSO-CALAS collection: “Religions and public spaces in Latin America” edited by Renée de la Torre and Pablo Semán.
