This book offers a committed reflection on the processes of interaction and change that societies in the Global South experience with their territories, knowledge, and places. It is presented as a text from which to (re)think the processes of constructing socio-environmental epistemologies within the shared space of Environmental History as a site for articulating commitments and knowledge.

The Epistemologies of the South collection was conceived in a format of small and agile books, which rather than forming a large edifice of knowledge accessible to only a few, are presented as small crafts to be discovered and as powerful compasses to cross an abyssal line that separates metropolitan forms of sociability from colonial experiences.
