China and the map of world power

China and the map of world power

El CLACSO Working Group: China and the map of world power It focuses on the study of China and its rise in the world system, in relation to changes in the world power map.

and the geopolitical and geoeconomic transformations of global capitalism.

The aim is to analyze this rise in relation to a particular accumulation pattern, political system and emerging development model in the “Asian giant” called market socialism with Chinese characteristics; as well as to observe the emerging power in relation to the crisis of US hegemony, the crisis of the world order, the multipolar dynamics of the interstate system and the debate on the emergence of the Global South.

One of our main areas of work is the analysis of China in relation to other geopolitical regions and centers of power, highlighting topics such as trade and economic warfare, major global conflicts, major initiatives and partnerships, and the Eurasian issue.

It is central to our research and debates to observe the link between China and Latin America and the Caribbean, seeking to analyze the economic and strategic relations, the dilemmas that the region faces in the current transition of global power and the opportunities and challenges that the rise of China and Asia represents.

For our GT, the key is to develop our own perspective, Our American, on the subject.
