Call for Papers. First Inter-American Congress of Social Security Studies

The Inter-American Center for Social Security Studies (CIESS) invites researchers, university professors, students, public officials, and members of civil organizations to participate in the First Congress of Inter-American Social Security Studies, which will take place from November 11 to 13, 2026 in Mexico City.
The congress aims to be a forum for meeting, exchanging ideas, and reflecting on the main challenges facing social security systems in the Americas in the current context. The call for papers seeks to promote research and experiences that contribute to the critical analysis of issues related to population aging, changes in labor markets, informality, fiscal pressures, digitalization, and the impact of health, economic, and environmental crises.
The call is aimed at works that contribute to strengthening the academic and technical dialogue on social security from different theoretical and methodological perspectives, with special interest in comparative studies and regional or multinational analyses.

Important dates
- 6 July of 2026: Deadline for submitting the draft of the work and a short summary of up to 500 words.
- 24 July of 2026: notification of accepted work.
- October 16, 2026: deadline for submitting final work.
- October 23, 2026: publication of the complete program.
- November 11, 12 and 13, 2026: holding the Congress.
