Seeking to expand opportunities for the production of social knowledge on issues of particular importance for Latin America and the Caribbean, and enhance the impact of the results in the political sphere.
It is aimed at promoting the production of critical knowledge on issues of particular social relevance to the region. Likewise, it seeks to put researchers in dialogue with the conviction that these exchanges enrich the process and the results of the research. Finally, it is also proposed to generate greater articulations between the Social Sciences and public policies, organizing spaces for exchange between researchers and policy makers, and encouraging that, as part of the research results, policy and intervention proposals are formulated. These purposes are achieved through the organization of research grant competitions, the organization of exchange seminars between researchers, and of them with policy references, and by publishing policy briefs with policy and intervention proposals.
Main lines of action:
- Contests and calls for research grants
- Organization of international seminars
- Publications with research results
